Had an extended Christmas this year. I know I said I was lusting over an all white ensemble, but wearing a completely pitch-black outfit felt like the way to start off the dead days appropriately. (The dead days being: "a strange, quiet interlude of time, between Xmas and New Year's, that is somehow outside the rest of the year, outside time itself.")The weather definitely helped set the ghostly ambiance and the clouds turned out to be my perfect accessory. Being all covered up on a 26th of December at 2pm is quite outré, but I had to resurrect my forgotten polka dotted tights! These lovelies have been in one of my drawers since I bought them in Seattle quite a few Summer's ago, so it seemed like the perfect time for them to make a comeback. But to break out from the obscure hues, my favorite part of this outfit is, hands down, my vintage earrings! I just adore the perfect amount of sparkle that they add to the outfit, whilst still looking all classy and fanciful. Turns out this time "outside time itself" isn't half bad and moments become gentle, ever lasting memories. And so, if I dare say so myself, under the gray sky, I looked quite the part.
